  We woke up early in San Diego, with the crisp morning air and Lucky perched happily by my side, ready to beat the traffic. The drive was smooth, and we made our way to Ventura to close out 2024 and bring in the new year. It was extra special with my 12/31 birthday to celebrate, too. The trip was filled with warmth—catching up with Dad and Debie, sharing laughs and stories, and taking in the fresh air during some peaceful walks at Marina Park. The sun was out, and I even got the chance to paddle at the Ventura Keys, feeling the cool water beneath me as the sun kissed my skin. All in all, it was a trip filled with joy, perfect weather, and beautiful moments to remember.
