Paloma's First SUP Race

Wow, this morning I completed the entire 4.5 mile course of the Hanohano Huki 25th Anniversary Ocean Challenge; and it was definitely a challenge for me! Previously, I had only been out on the water 3 times to Stand Up Paddle-board(SUP), and today, my fourth time out to SUP was to be in a race. Last night I could hardly sleep with the thought there might be a chance I would not be able to physically finish the whole 4.5 mile course due to a lack of experience and physical conditioning. On Saturday morning I arrived to the race early, got out in the water for the start, gave it my best effort, and I finished **Woot Woot**!!!

A special thanks to the San Diego MOB (Mothers on Boards), for the fellowship and encouragement, you guys are awesome! 🤙🌊🧜🏻‍♀️

The race starts and off we go. 🌊
The tight pack at the start made for some choppy water,
so I played it safe and delayed my start for a bit.

Made it !! 🤙🧜🏻‍♀️

I was so stoked to have finished, an awesome feeling!

Dave Gets a 1952 MGTD Mark 2

Look at what Dave and Mom picked up today in Richmond, Virginia; a Classic 1952 MGTD Mark 2.  What a super treasure to find and take home.

The guy who bought in 1962, parked it in his garage in 1974, and there it stayed until today.  The MG is in terrific condition for its age. With some wrench turning, elbow grease, and TLC, Dave is going to have the MG purring like a lion and riding like a dream.

Have fun working on it Dave, I’m looking forward to watching the progress of the restoration. Now go play with your new toy!!!

 Wow,1952 MGTD Mark 2.

Dave checking out the new ride with the man who stored it in 1974.

Let's get this mean machine out into the sunlight!

Sandy testing out the feel of Dave's new ride.

Vroom vroom, "Eat My Dust"!!!

The MG begins its journey to Lynchburg, VA.

Gently backing the MG off the trailer.

Easy does it!!

Almost there!

A new home for this classic ride, very exciting!!!

A Scripps Mercy Hospital Stroll: 01/13/2020

Today I took a brisk and adventurous walk around, under, and through Scripps Mercy Hospital with my amiga Carolina.

Scripps Mercy Hospital is a Catholic Hospital founded in 1890, it is the oldest hospital in San Diego County. Although the hospital is now a modern facility, it still has a lot of old buildings that gives it an historical feel and plenty of interesting character.

Let’s go for a stroll. 🏥🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️
