 In a quaint tale of two weekends so fun, With the James family and Daddy-O, a divine time, Soccer games and victories, coach James' team soaring high, Undefeated they stood, reaching for the sky. On the field, young Seneca played with zest, Her knee took a tumble, a little scuffed and stressed, But she rose again, brave and strong, Determined to play, where she belongs. I'm  A stop at Vista point, such a scenic site, Lunch at Milton's Deli, oh what a delight, Then off to FreeFlight bird Sanctuary we'd go, Dad enjoyed it and made a generous donation. A leisurely drive along the PCH, The beach town's pass bye, a calming display. Games of Uno and a movie to share, Bonding with family, beyond compare. Sunday arrived, a birthday soon to come, Grandpa Mike and Senny, new tools what fun, Skillful hands, a budding toolkit's start, Fixing things together, a work of heart. Father's Day Treck to Palomar Mountain: June 18, 2023

On Father's Day, Dave and Chris set out to play, From oceanside to Mount Palomar, a trip underway. With pinecones and pine leaves of native trees in sight, Seneca, Payten, Sandy, and Paloma joined the joy ride delight. Up to 6,142 feet, a treacherous climb we braved, Heart pounding, adrenaline rushing, we almost caved. But fear not, dear friends, despite almost dying, we made it through, With memories to cherish, and stories anew. Oh, what a fun-filled day with family by our sides, Amidst breathtaking scenery, our spirits did ride. At the mountain's peak, a telescope stood tall, But alas, we arrived late, hearing the Park Ranger's shout "gate's last call".

  In Joshua Tree, where the yucca with clusters of spiky leaves grow, A good group of friends gathered on Cinco De Mayo, The kiddos ran wild, free, and having a blast, While we toasted to good times that go by to fast. Cinco de Mayo brought out the fiesta, And we sipped on cactus margaritas, Discovering desert shit was our goal, As we explored and let our spirits  Our weekend getaway was filled with gay times, And fresh air and sunshine, oh so divine, California desert, you stole our hearts, And we can't wait to make new memories, let the good times start! At Desert Jems ABB we laid our heads, And snuggled in for some much-needed bed, But not before roasting marshmallows on the fire, Bonding with beautiful people, our hearts were filled with desire.
